John J. Martenson, Jr.

John was born in Detroit and raised in Trenton where he currently resides. He has a degree in Economics and a minor in Science from Albion College. John also went on to graduate from Wayne State University, Department of Mortuary Science. His memberships include St. Paul Lutheran Church, Trenton Rotary, Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, National Funeral Directors Association, Michigan Funeral Directors Association, Chairman of Thomas Shumate Endowment for the Arts and Grosse Ile Golf and Country Club, the Southern Great Lakes Symphony and the YMCA. John and his wife, Jennifer, have three sons.

Jennifer Bollo Martenson

Jennifer graduated from Trenton High School and still resides in Trenton along with her husband, John, and 3 sons. In 2000, Jennifer was appointed to the Trenton Planning Commissions by the past Mayor. She was also appointed to the Board of Directors of the Downriver Guidance Center in December 2001-2003. She is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Trenton, and is a realtor with Carol Bollo and Associates.

Thomas J. Crete

Tom has been with the Martenson family since 1979. He graduated from Wayne State University, Department of Mortuary Science in 1980, and is a licensed Mortician/Funeral Director with the State of Michigan. Tom serves on the Board of Directors of Arbor Hospice & Home Care; the Board of Directors of the Allen Park Chamber of Commerce; is a member and past President of the Kiwanis Club of Allen Park; serves as a Chairman for the City of Allen Park Public Building Authority; is a member of the Father Saylor Knights of Columbus Council #3774; a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, and serves the membership of Rivers Edge Community Credit Union as a member of the Board of Directors. Tom and his wife, Gale, have three daughters.

Robin A. Locklear

Robin has been with the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes for nearly 20 years. In 1989 she graduated from Wayne State University, Department of Mortuary Science. She is a member of Michigan Funeral Directors Association, and National Funeral Directors Association, and is a former member of Allen Park Business and Professional Women. Robin and her husband, Nathan, attend Woodhaven Free Will Baptist Church and she sings with the St. Paul Lutheran Church Concert Choir in Trenton.

Jeffrey T. Welker

Jeffrey is a U.S. Navy Veteran. He attended Monroe County Community College, Ferris State College and Wayne State University, Department of Mortuary Science. Jeffrey is a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Monroe Masonic Lodge #27, Monroe Scottish Rite, Monroe Shrine Club, Detroit Zenobia Shrine 32nd Degree, Viet Nam Veterans of America-Monroe, and the First Downers Club. He and his wife, Susan, have 2 sons, Ryan and Derek.

Thomas M. Trouten

Thomas is a 1991 graduate from Wayne State University, Department of Mortuary Science. He and his wife, Brandi, are proud parents of 2 children and are members of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monroe. An avid outdoorsman, Tom is a State Officer for Duck’s Unlimited. He is a member of The Monroe Club and also has been an active volunteer for the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Monroe County and the American Red Cross.

John attended Hope College and WCCC for Undergraduate Studies and graduated in 1982 from Wayne State University, Department of Mortuary Science. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and Past President of Southgate Lions Club. John serves on the T.I.F.A. Board in the city of Southgate, and formerly served on the Southgate Planning Commission. He attends St. Cyprian Catholic Church and has a son, Zach, with his wife Tami.

Ryan received his Bachelor degree in 1999 from Wayne State University, Department of Mortuary Science. He is a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose - Lodge 884, the Nortel Merchants Bowling League, Michigan Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, and the Michigan Embalmers Society. He attends St. Mary Catholic Church in Monroe.

Cindy Wojtowicz

Cindy graduated from Huron High School and has been with the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes since 1991, assisting families with funeral pre-planning. It is very important to her to review all the options that are available with every family she serves. It is personally rewarding for her to be able to assist families in making informed decisions. With many years of expertise, it is her goal to make a very difficult time easier. Cindy and her husband, Dave, live in the area and have 2 children. She enjoys spending her free time with family, while bowling and reading are also on the list.

Brian is a 1995 graduate of Toledo St. John's Jesuit High School and a graduate from The University of Toledo. He joined the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes in 2011 after spending time with a different funeral home in Toledo. He is very excited to be able to assist families in the Trenton, MI area make informed decisions on funeral pre-arrangements. Brian operates whole-heartedly under the motto "It is never easy but it can be made easier." Brian lives in Sylvania, OH and enjoys being on the golf course with family and friends.

Fred Cislo

Fred graduated from Madonna University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. He then attended and graduated from Sacred Heart Major Seminary with his M.A.P.S. He belongs to St. Augustine/ St. Monica Catholic Church, and is a former Hospice Chaplain.

Administrative Assistant – Trenton Chapel

Money Robinson

Money was an ordained Deacon in the Episcopal Church and served as the grief group facilitator at St. James Episcopal Church, Grosse Ile and St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Trenton, for 14 years. She also served as Dean of the Downriver Convocation for 2 years. While completing her term at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, she began working at the Martenson Funeral Home in Trenton utilizing her expertise in grief and loss with the aftercare program. Money now serves as the administrative assistant and has been on staff since 1994. She is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Monroe.

Phae Burd

Phae attended Henry Ford Community College where she received her Business Management degree. She is also a member of the Sports Car Club of America and is fulfilling her requirements to become a member of the Westshore Sailing Club. Phae has 4 children, 2 stepchildren and 5 grandchildren. She has also been with the Martenson family since 2002.

Marcia Bushell

Marcia graduated from Melvindale High School. She loves to bowl, camp, go 4-wheeling and spend time with family. Marcia and her husband, Mark, have a son, Michael.

 Helen Grzesik

Helen Grzesik

Helen graduated from Trenton High School and went on to attend both Monroe Community College and Sacred Heart Seminary College. She was formerly a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and is presently a member of St. Victor Catholic Church where she is a Lector and Cantor. She and her husband, Edwin, have 5 children, Stephen, Roderick, Lester, Dorothy and Michael.
