Helen Marie Lizyness

Born in Newport, Helen was the daughter of Elmer and Rachel (VanWassehnova) Frey. She married the love of her life, Martin Lizyness, on October 3, 1946. A graduate of Trenton High School, Helen worked as a Car Accountant for DT&I Railroad and Grand Trunk Railroad until her retirement in 1991. She was a member of Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church and the Women of the Moose. Helen leaves to cherish her memory, Martin, her husband of the past 74 years; a son Larry (Joyce) Lizyness; grandchildren: Larry Lizyness Jr., Troy (May) Lizyness and Jay (Michelle) Lizyness; as well as 7 great grandchildren: Cameron, Andrew, Christian, Stephen, Madison, Gavin and Emerson. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Cathy Lizyness and a brother. To those attending visitation and/or services for a loved one, in keeping with State of Michigan Executive Orders 2020-110 and 2020-147 , masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced.
