John R. Hocking

Hocking, John R. Age 91. November 16, 2015. Beloved husband of 68 years to the late Ruth. Loving father of John, Thomas (Patricia) and Marie Hocking. Proud grandfather of Elizabeth, the late David, Jared, Lesley and Elizabeth. Great grandfather of Kaiden. John was born and raised in the Detroit area and served with distinction at the age of 18 as an officer in the United States Navy during WWII; he was a graduate of Brown University and obtained his law degree in Detroit. John served as a special agent with the FBI and then returned to Michigan to raise his family and practice law. In his spare time he coached his sons' baseball teams and honed his golf game .
