Lavetta Meyers

Born in Claiborne County, Tennessee, Lavetta was the daughter of William & Rachel (Mcreary) Lynch. She married Arvol Meyers on May 26, 1953. Sadly he preceded her in death July 1, 1977. Lavetta worked as a Welder for Sharon Manufacturing before taking a medical retirement. Lavetta leaves to cherish her memory a son Calvin (Jill) Meyers of Maybee; a sister Willie Conner of Duncanville, Texas; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Eric) Nash, Marissa Meyers and Jessie Meyers; two great grandchildren: Amber Nash and Brianna Nash as well as many nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers: George Day, Doug Day and four sisters: Retha Watkins, Margaret Lynch, Virginia "Nell" Meyers and Edith Williams. Lavetta will be greatly missed by family and friends who knew and loved her.
