March 10, 2017 at 2:45pm, Neverland gained another lost boy. William Vincent Hunzicker's heart beat one last time. He was born May 29, 1948 in Burlington Vermont and was adopted when he was 8 years old by Anastasia and William Hunzicker. He lived in Arizona, Vermont and Michigan. Bill worked at Guardian Glass, Metal Tech and IKO. He married the love of his life, Kay Hunzicker, on July 27th 1979. Sadly she preceded him in death March 3, 2006. Bill leaves to cherish his memory his children: Larry Hall, David Hall and Angela (Brian) Murphy; six grandchildren: Ashley, Brittany, Brendan, Maggie, Michael and the "Apple of his eye" Scottie "Punk". Bill enjoyed tinkering on cars, if you were unable to find him, look under the hood of a car and he would be there cussing up a storm and covered in grease. He taught his family the importance of getting dirty. In his younger days he enjoyed Salmon Fishing in Port Austin, Michigan. His current hobby was putting together his Lionel train village and his collection of clocks and Hurricane lamps. Bill also enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Bill enjoyed watching old movies and Detroit sports with his sons and son-in-law, drinking Bud Light and yelling obscenities at the Refs on TV. He was the only Michigan State fan in the family, often betting his son Larry that if State won, Larry would have to wear green and white the following day, and vice versa. Bills grey eyes would light up anytime he was able to spend time with family. He enjoyed family Summer BBQ's and making Brisket on the grill. "PaPa", "Dad", "Pops" will be sadly missed by his surviving family. "Never say goodbye because saying goodbye means going away and going away means forgetting" – Peter Pan. Till we meet again old man, We will love you to Neverland and Back. A memorial BBQ will be held given in celebration of Bill's life on Sunday, March 19th from 1pm until 4pm at 327 Smith St., in Monroe.
