Aleta Ann Collins

Aleta Ann Collins, age 56 of Monroe, passed away Friday, September 30, 2022 in her home.

Born August 27, 1966 in Monroe, Aleta was the daughter of Harold and Theresa “Tess” (Pittner) Pierce. A 1984 graduate of Monroe High School, she worked security for Monroe Public Schools from 1998 until 2005. She enjoyed watching football, baseball, NASCAR, and watching the Cooking Chanel, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Aleta leaves to cherish her memory her children: Derek Collins, Leisha Collins and Aaron (Heather) Collins; her mother Tess Pierce; her love of 18 years David Zenz; step-children: Christine Farmer and Jonathan Zenz; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; as well as her siblings: Jeff (Kellie) Pierce, Cindy (Mark) DiCarlo and Trisha (Ted) Evans.
