Allen L. Bates

Allen was born on March 12, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan and died on November 23, 2019 at Beaumont Hospital Dearborn at the age of 67; he was of Allen Park. Beloved dad of Alexa and Debbie. Dearest brother of Claudette and Maureen (Vincent). Also survived by other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Hobert and Carmella (nee: DeLuca) Bates. Allen was the owner of Second Step Advertising in Wyandotte for over 40 years. He was a member and past president of the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce where he served on the Board of Directors and he was an honored Hall of Fame member and past president of the Michigan Promotional Products (MIPPA). Allen was also a member of the Allen Park Jaycees and the Wyandotte Business Association. Visitation is on Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 3 – 8 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). The funeral service is on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at 12 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions to honor Allen’s life may be made as the donor chooses.
