Amelia Yolanda Rodriguez, known as Melona, passed away on June 3, 2025 in Taylor, Michigan at the age of 83. She was born to the late Guadalupe and Santiago Sanchez. Amelia was an extremely proud retiree of 30 years at General Motors. She was a God fearing woman who regularly attended church and practiced her faith daily. Amelia loved cooking, dancing, concerts, watching novelas and spending time with all of her grandchildren. She was always so excited to announce that she was a great-great grandmother.

Above all, Amelia was a loving wife, nurturing mother and exceptional grandmother. Taking care of her family was always her first priority. Amelia was strong, selfless, disciplined, empathetic, funny and loved unconditionally. If you had the pleasure of knowing her then you know she was one of a kind.

Amelia will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her sons Manuel Rodriguez Jr. and Victor Rodriguez; Grandchildren Delfina Ibarra (Mathew), Antonio Perez (Emily) and Patricia Luna (Eric); Great grandchildren Christina Ibarra, Priscilla Ibarra, Selena Gonzalez, Zondra Luna, Erica Luna, Kennedy Perez and Cruz Perez; Great-great grandchildren Carter Blansett, Mila Blansett and Marco Capicchioni. Preceded in death by her loving husband Manuel Ramon Rodriguez; Son Antonio Perez; Grandmother Juanita (abuela); Parents Guadalupe Esquibel, Santiago Esquibel and Tony Esquibel; Siblings Jimmy Elizando, Emmanuel Sanchez and Ophelia Ringle.
