 Ann L. Jones, born on August 2, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, in Taylor, Michigan. A loving and vibrant soul, Ann's spirited nature and feisty personality left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.

After graduating from Melvindale High School in 1969, Ann began her career as a cashier, working diligently at Tomboy's Liquor Store in Melvindale and Bi-Rite Supermarket in River Rouge. Her friendly demeanor and warm smile made her a favorite among customers, who appreciated her kindness and quick wit.

Ann's interests were as colorful as her personality. She loved the thrill of going to the casino, where she enjoyed the excitement of the game. A gifted painter, Ann found joy in capturing the beauty of the world around her on canvas. She cherished traveling with her girlfriends, creating memories filled with laughter and camaraderie. Her fondness for visiting lighthouses reflected her love for adventure and the beauty of nature.

In her personal life, Ann was the beloved wife of Frederick for over 21 wonderful years. She is also survived by her former husband, Robert T. Puente, showcasing the enduring connections she maintained throughout her life. A devoted mother, Ann leaves behind her children, Robert (Sandra) Yves and Natalie (Dominic) Borgan, who will carry forward her legacy of love and strength. She took immense pride in being a grandmother to Alexis (Mohammad) and a great grandmother to Myya and Zaina, she embraced each moment spent with her family.

Ann was also a cherished sister, remembered fondly by her surviving siblings, Alice (the late Jim) Rykwalder, Georgia (David) Jones, and Allen Maine. She now joins her deceased sister, Charlene (John) Klutz, and brother, Kenny Maine, in eternal rest.

Ann will be sorely missed by all, including her loyal dog Yuki, who provided her with love and companionship. Her spirit will resonate through the lives she touched and the memories that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for a future date.
