Annette Hunt, a devoted wife andmother, passed away on January 25, 2026, at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the age of 40. Born on June 12, 1985, in Trenton, Michigan, she brought warmth and kindness to everyone she encountered throughout her life.
Annette dedicated her heart and soul to her family. Her two precious daughters, Mara and Reese, were the center of her world, and taking care of her girls was her proudest accomplishment. She was known for her sweet and soft-spoken demeanor, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Annette’s nurturing nature extended beyond her immediate family; she adored and cared for everyone around her with genuine love and compassion.
Annette found joy in many hobbies, from gardening to crocheting, and she was a passionate cook who especially loved making soup. She was an avid reader, often losing herself in the pages that transported her to different worlds. Her heart, however, belonged to Northern Michigan, where she cherished the beauty of the fall season amidst the colorful foliage.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jacob W. Hunt, with whom she shared 10 beautiful years of marriage. In addition to her husband and children, Annette leaves behind her brother, Anthony James Ketcher, as well as her nephews, Chase James Ketcher and Luke Hargrove, and her niece, Hanna Hargrove. Her family ties extended through her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gregory and Charlotte Hunt, and her sister-in-law, Sarah (Steven) Hargrove. Annette is also remembered fondly by many loving family members and friends whose lives she touched with her gentle spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna Marie (Sowards) and James Jeffery Ketcher, and her brother, Carl Allen Ketcher. Their memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of her surviving family as they navigate life without her nurturing presence.
A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 PM, both held at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family ofFuneral Homes, located at 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183.
She will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, including her loyal dog, Skye, who remained by her side through countless cherished moments. Annette's legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Memorial contributions to honor Annette's life may be made to the Leukemia Foundation
