Tony Lloyd, a beloved spirit, left this world on September
6, 2025, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, at the age of 70. He was born on June 5, 1955,
in Kentucky, and his journey through life was marked by one of love, dedication
to family, and a passion for storytelling which made him a cherished figure to
many.
A graduate with an Associate's Degree, Tony's professional
path as a property manager allowed him to support and serve his community while
nurturing relationships that strengthened the bonds among neighbors. Beyond his
career, he served in the U.S. Navy for a short period before an injury brought
that chapter to a close. Still, he carried the values of duty and resilience
throughout his life.
Tony was known for his loving personality and was adored by
all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His heart and home were open to family
and friends alike. He found immense joy in cooking meals that brought people
together and regaling audiences with stories of familial history as the
family's historian and genealogist. His interest in stamp collecting and
crafting model boats showcased his creativity and attention to detail,
reflecting the many facets of a thoughtful and engaged man.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and
Lillian Lloyd, his mother and father-in-law Laura and Joseph Brosky, and his
brother-in-law Joe Brosky.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Mary Sue Lloyd,
who stood by him through thick and thin, and their daughter, Laura (Jon) Fink,
whose life he enriched with endless love and guidance. Tony will also be
mourned by his brother, Victor Lloyd, siblings-in-law Mary Brosky, Tom (Diane)
Brosky, Ed (Marianne) Brosky, and Carol (Tom) Daszkiewicz, as well as many cousins,
nieces, nephews, and treasured friends, all of whom carry the warmth of his
legacy in their hearts.
Tony's legacy will live on through the love he shared and
