Antonia C. Chevalier, born on October 29, 1936, in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026. A devoted and beloved homemaker, Antonia dedicated her life to her family and community, embodying warmth and kindness in everything she did.
Born October 29, 1936 in Wyandotte, Antonia was the daughter of Salvatore and Anna (Pinto) DiMaggio. A proud graduate of Roosevelt Wyandotte High School, she carried the values of education and community service throughout her life. Antonia's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. Antonia married the love of her life, Ronald Chevalier, on November 10, 1956. Sadly he preceded her in death in 2011. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she generously volunteered in the church office, reflecting her commitment to serving others and her unwavering belief in the goodness of community.
Antonia was also an enthusiastic member of the Trenton Theatre Group, where she formed lasting friendships and enjoyed the beauty and creativity of the performing arts. Her love for storytelling extended beyond the stage as an avid reader, immersing herself in the pages of countless books that sparked her imagination and inspired those around her.
Antonia took immense pride in her family, leaving behind her loving children: Andrea (Kirk) Pusey, Jeff (Linda) Chevalier, and Tom (Beth) Chevalier. She was blessed with the joy of seeing her family grow, leaving behind seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who will forever cherish her memory and the invaluable lessons she imparted.
Antonia is now reunited in spirit with her beloved siblings, two sisters and one brother, who have passed on before her. The bond they shared through love and laughter remains a testament to the cherished moments they created together.
Antonia C. Chevalier’s memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched, a gentle reminder of the strength of family ties and the impact of a life dedicated to love and service.
