Audrey Jane Padot

Audrey Jane Padot, 93 of Monroe, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 3 from Fountain View Full Service Care Facility of Monroe where she was treated wonderfully. She was born October 11, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan. Audrey was the daughter of the late Joseph Roberts and Mary (McCleod) Roberts. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1946 and as a young lady, Audrey worked approximately a year at the J. L. Hudson Department Store in downtown Detroit. On September 25, 1947, Audrey married the love of her life, Robert Joseph Padot in Monroe, Michigan. The rest of her life was spent as a wife, mother, and homemaker. Audrey is survived by her loving family and numerous friends including her two daughters, Linda (Dave) Gubbini of Monroe, Diane (Tim) Michaud of Monroe, two sons, Paul (Sue) Padot of Temperance and James Padot of Monroe; six grandchildren David (Dee) Gubbini of Ann Arbor, Cara (Rob) Morrison of Carleton, Stacey Ostrowski of Lebanon OH, Ashley (Joe) Lampkowski of Temperance, Carlee (Ryan) Padot McClurg of Oceanside, CA and Kyle Padot of Toledo, OH and eight great-grandchildren. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Robert (Bob) Padot, her parents Joseph and Mary Roberts, her sister Clara Kerian and her brother William (Billy) Schultz. Audrey was a loving and charitable person who always thought more about others ahead of herself. She volunteered with many organizations including Frenchtown Senior Citizens Center, Comboni Mission Ladies Auxilary, and Hospice of Monroe. She was a vibrant member of the "Chat and Chew Club" which was a ladies club that met monthly for over 50 years to do just that! She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
