It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Barbara Lee Ingalls, who left this world peacefully on December 30, 2025, in Trenton. Born on February 1, 1939, in Detroit, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Butterfield) Smith. Barbara led a life filled with love, dedication, and warmth that touched everyone around her.
Barbara married the love of her life, Alan Robert Ingalls in 1980. Sadly he preceded her in death.
Barbara was known for her unwavering commitment to her family, serving both as a devoted homemaker and a successful presence in appliance sales. Her career was marked not only by her professionalism but also by the kindness she extended to all her customers.
In her personal life, Barbara found joy in various pursuits. She was a proud member of the Taylor Garden Club and spent many joyous hours nurturing both her garden and friendships there. Water aerobics was another passion, providing her with both fitness and a chance to connect with others in the community.
Barbara's legacy continues on through her beloved children, Lorri Bossick, Shari Gurisko-Lack, and Ken (Nancy) Ford, alongside her stepchildren, Brad Ingalls and Holly Ingalls. Her heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren: Brian, Bradd, James, Mitchell, Karly, and Julie, and she delighted in the joy brought by her six great-grandchildren as well as her status as a great-great grandmother.
She joins in eternal rest with her beloved family members who have gone before her, including her dear son-in-law Edward Bossick, her son-in-law Arthur Gurisko-Lack, her siblings John (Evelyn) Smith, Shirley Boroca, and James (Sherry) Smith.
Barbara Lee Ingalls will be remembered as a beacon of love and light, her spirit forever etched in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will continue to shine brightly through her family and friends, who will carry her memories with them always.
