Listen to Obituary

Barbara Gail Stineman, born on September 2, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, in Riverview, Michigan. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Barbara's life was a testament to love and commitment, as she cherished her family above all else.

Barbara, a proud high school graduate, built a humble yet impactful career as a housekeeper for a nursing home. Her dedication to caring for others reflected her compassionate spirit and nurturing nature, which she extended beyond her professional life and into her home. Barbara was a radiant presence, known for her warmth and wisdom, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

She leaves behind her beloved children, Jayne (Carmel) Tabone, Paulette (Edward) Sancho, Brian Stineman, and Thomas (Darlene) Stineman. Her legacy is further honored by her grandchildren, Derek (Janet), Edward (Asheba), Justin, Thomas (Kim), Paul (Alex), and Tyler (Allie), as well as her great-grandchildren, Zachary, Miles, Joseph, Natalie, Grace, Leo, and Jett. Each of them carries a piece of her heart and spirit, a testament to the profound love she poured into her family.

Barbara was one of the last of her immediate siblings, joining her brothers Douglas (Joyce) Stoddard and Victor Stoddard, Sr. in her later years, grieving the loss of her husband, Paul E. Stineman, Sr., and their son, Paul E. Stineman, Jr., whose memories remained close to her heart. She also mourned the passing of her granddaughter, Jeanette, and her parents, John and Clela Stoddard, as well as two sisters and five brothers, all of whom shaped the foundation of her life with their love and guidance.

In every moment she spent with her family, Barbara's radiant spirit shone through. Her proudest accomplishments lay in the bonds she forged and the cherished memories created, serving as a lifelong reminder of the importance of family unity and love. The impact of her nurturing demeanor will resonate with those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
