Barbara Lynn Venier

Barbara "Barb" Schmantowsky Venier, born on February 11, 1960, passed away leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends.

Barb was born to George Schmantowsky and Carol Ann Hilla of Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in the Detroit area and graduated from Dominican High School before continuing her education at the University of Lima.

A woman of deep Christian faith, Barb lived her life with compassion and generosity. She dedicated much of her career to caring for others, working as a chiropractic assistant and later as a nanny. Her love for children, babies, and families was evident in the patience, joy, and genuine care she shared with everyone whose lives she touched.

Outside of work, Barb enjoyed scrapbooking, dancing, listening to music, vacationing, and, above all, spending time with her family. She treasured creating memories and celebrating life's special moments with those she loved most.

Barb was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, caring sister, aunt, and loyal friend. She is survived by her husband, Don Venier; her children, Jake Frahm, Joseph Frahm, Katie Topel (David), Jamie Frahm, Donald Venier (Christine), and Breanna Taurence (Justin); and her beloved grandchildren, Dakotah Frahm, Troy Taurence, Preston Taurence, Logan Venier, Abel Topel, Luna Venier, and Isabella Taurence.

She is also survived by her brother, Craig Schmantowsky (Julie); her sister, Leslie Crespi (Carl); her nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Josh, Ashley, and Karli; her great-nephews, Izaak and another great-nephew Leo, lovingly anticipated and coming soon.

Barb will be remembered for her loving heart, joyful spirit, unwavering faith, and steadfast devotion to her family. The kindness she showed, the memories she created, and the love she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
