Betty Joyce Hanson

Betty Joyce Hanson went home to be with her lord on April 24, 2026

Betty was born July 16, 1929 in Newport, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raymond Hanson her siblings: Earlen Ferguson, Dorothy MacPherson and Earl Wiseman; as well as a step-daughter Linda Clark; son-in-law Gordon Schlegel and a grandson Eric Molaski. Dorothy is survived by a daughter Sandra Schlegel; step-children; Nancy Hanson, Mark (Marsha) Hanson; grandson Joseph (Nickie) Schlegel and granddaughter Tracy Molaski; as well as many great grandchildren; sister-in-law Gerry Wiseman and many nieces and nephews.

Betty retired from Comerica Bank in Jackson, Michigan. Her favorite pastime was bingo, and she loved to play dominos and split a beer.

A celebration of her life has been entrusted to the care of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes-Ford Chapel.

Memorial contributions in honor of Betty may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Wounded Warriors Project.
