Listen to Obituary

Betty Rose Hoffman, born on September 2, 1931, in Monroe, she was the daughter of Herron and Lucy (Coutcher) Steinle. Betty peacefully passed away on April 27, 2026 at home surround by her family. A devoted homemaker whose life was marked by love, faith, and a generous spirit, Betty’s presence touched all who knew her.

She married the love of her life, Alfred Hoffman, on February 3, 1951. Sadly he preceded her in death February 19, 2000. Rooted deeply in her community, Betty was a faithful member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, where she also committed herself to the Ladies Aide. These roles were among her proudest accomplishments, reflecting her dedication to her faith and the people around her. Her welcoming spirit and warmth extended beyond the church walls into every facet of her life.

Betty’s hands were never idle. With a passion for sewing and crocheting, she created countless treasures that spoke of her patience and creativity. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked meals, a testament to her love of cooking. Evenings frequently found her engaged in lively games of cards, enjoying the simple pleasures that brought joy to everyday moments.

Her family was the center of her world. Betty is lovingly remembered by her children: Glenn (Susan) Hoffman, Sharon (Clyde) McLaughlin, Janice (Arthur) Collingsworth, and Alice (Sonny) Strimpel. She was a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to twelve great-grandchildren, each one carrying forward her legacy of love and kindness.

The family also mourns the loss of dear loved ones who preceded her in death: her parents; her daughter Karen Huber; granddaughter Crystal Curson; brothers Gerald Steinle and Edward Steinle; and sisters Jean Fruchey, Dolores Steinle, and Marlene Godfried. Their memories remain forever entwined with hers, creating a tapestry of enduring family bonds.

Betty Rose Hoffman’s life was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and heartfelt dedication. She leaves behind a legacy rich with love, treasured memories, and an inspiring example of a life well-lived. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will carry her spirit in their hearts forever.
