Betty Jean Runyon

Betty Jean Runyon, age 80, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020. She was born November 23rd, 1940, in Paintsville, KY, to Aimel Hervy & Dorothy (Castle) Hunt. Betty married Lloyd Donald Runyon on May 3rd, 1969. Betty and Lloyd raised two daughters in South Rockwood, Michigan. She was a faithful & active member of Woodhaven Freewill Baptist Church for 42 years. She loved to cook, whether for her family, church events, or for those in need. She lived with Alzheimer’s, and spent the last six years of her life at Hickory Ridge of Temperance. She is survived by her husband of 51 ½ years - Lloyd Donald Runyon, daughters, Tammy (Rand) Raymo, Dawn (Dwayne) Webb; Grandchildren, Benjamin Raymo, Shelby (Ben) Zeigler, Ryan Webb, Paige Webb, Andrew Raymo, and William Raymo; her sister Ann Hatfield, her uncle Nolan (Norma) Hunt; and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by both her parents; her brothers & their wives, Charles (Wanda) Hunt, and Kerry (Pauletta) Hunt; her sister and brother-in-law, Barbara (Leslie) Skeens; brother in law, Walter Hatfield; and 3 angel grandbabies. Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.at the Martenson Funeral Home, 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI. A funeral service will be held at Woodhaven Free Will Baptist Church, 26191 Allen Rd, Woodhaven MI, with an instate period from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22nd, 2020. Burial will follow the funeral ceremony, weather permitting, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Weidman, MI. To those attending visitation and/or services for a loved one, in keeping with CDC and State of Michigan DHHS guidelines, masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced.
