Bob “Buffer” Mahon

Bob “Buffer” Mahon passed away peacefully, with his loving wife Carol by his side, on May 25, 2025 at the age of 79. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bob will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart and unwavering love for his family.

Bob was a proud and honored Navy veteran who served his country with dedication and humility from March 3, 1963 until September 24, 1974. After his service, he worked as a Tool and Die Maker/IT Audit Specialist and Consultant, later retiring after 40 years in the field. He continued to lead by example-working hard, staying grounded and living a rich life in love and laughter.

A true fisherman at heart, Bob found peace on the water and joy in the simple things. He was humble, kind, gentle and funny- a man who made others feel at ease and whose legacy will live on through those who knew and loved him.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his loving children, Robert (Kate), Richard, Jeffrey (Tammy), and Jennifer; his loving grandchildren, Shawn, Michael (Bridgette) Amanda (deceased)(Danny), Melissa (Aaron), Holli, Danielle, Kyle (Juliana), Karl (Gabrielle), Kody, Kayce, Sarah, Matthew (Kayla); and his loving great-grandchildren, Hailee, Aiden, Camryn, Brielle, Audriana, Isabelle, Emry, Elliott, Ophelia, Zander, Caden, Claire, Celia, Stevie, Thomas, Ellianna, and numerous other grand and great grandchildren.

He was a steady presence and loving guide who will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
