Calvin Lee Johnson Sr.

Born in Monroe, Calvin was the son of Joseph and Margaret (Byrd) Johnson. A 1974 graduate of Monroe High School, he was married to Nina Bruce. Sadly she preceded him in death November 14, 2021. Calvin supported his family as a laborer. He enjoyed watching sports and movies, but his most treasured times were those spent with his family. Calvin leaves to cherish his memory his children: Cherise Johnson, Kay'Neisha Lawal and Calvin (Lisha Allen) Johnson; step-children: Jocob (Jaymie) Bruce and Keiana Bruce; his father Joseph Johnson; siblings: JoAnne (Julius) Michael, Robert (Barbara) Johnson, Lucille Johnson, Jessie (Wendy) Johnson and Vienta Johnson; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his mother.
