Candice E. Young-Scott

With great love and deep sorrow, the family of Candice E. Young-Scott announces her passing on August 11, 2026, in Riverview, Michigan. Born on February 28, 1985, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Candice touched countless lives with her warmth, strength, and kindness during her 41 years among us.

Candice’s life was rooted in joy and dedication to her family. She is dearly missed and remembered by her loving husband Bill Scott, whose partnership brought so many shared joys and unwavering support. Candice’s devotion as a mother shines brightly through her beloved children Drake, Linkoln, and Anikyn, each of whom carry forward her legacy of love.

She is survived by her mother Kimberly (Gary) Witt, and remembered by her brothers, Robert Young and Jacob Young. Her family was a source of great pride and affection. She is also survived by her grandfather Dennis (Penny) Parent, and grandmother Judith (Al) Darin. Candice leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and countless friends. She was a proud dog mom to Dexter and Demi and cat mom to Ginger, who all held important places in Candice’s life.

Candice is preceded in death by her father, Henry Young.

While Candice’s accomplishments and milestones are best reflected in the deep bonds she cultivated with loved ones, her greatest legacy is found in the affection, guidance, and courage she gave so freely to those around her. She is remembered for her welcoming heart, her beautiful smile, her ability to uplift and make friends with others, and the unwavering dedication she showed to her family and friends.

Services to honor and remember Candice will be held at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, located at 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183. Visitation will take place on Monday August 17, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service celebrating her life is scheduled for the same day at 6:00 PM.

Candice will forever be cherished by those whose lives she touched and she will be greatly missed.
