Carl Kendrick Carter, Sr. (1939–2025)

Carl Kendrick Carter, Sr., aged 85, passed away on June 14, 2025. Born on October 3, 1939, in Fork Ridge, Tennessee, Carl’s life was a testament to his strong faith in God and love for his family. Carl is survived by his wife of 65 years, Peggy; his children, Jan (Bob) and Ken (Annalee); his brothers Ray, James (Judy), and Edward; four beloved grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Carl is preceded in death by his parents James and Lucille and sister Geraldine. Carl raised his family in Trenton, Michigan while employed by McLouth Steel, before moving to Georgia with his wife, Peggy in 1997. A family gathering to celebrate Carl’s life will be held on June 24, 2025, at the Martenson Funeral Home in Trenton, Michigan with visitation from 11:00am – 2:30pm and a family led service from 2:30pm – 3:00pm.
