Carol Marie Domitrz, born on April 29, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on July 19, 2025, in Trenton, Michigan. She was a beloved member of her family and a cherished friend to many.

For over 20 years, Carol dedicated herself to serving others as an enthusiastic volunteer who played many roles for Meals on Wheels, embodying the spirit of community and generosity. Her efforts made a tangible difference in the lives of those she served, reflecting her caring nature and commitment to giving back.

Identified as an intelligent woman and an avid Democrat, Carol possessed a vibrant personality that drew people in with her warmth and wit. She often highlighted the importance of language in early education; she used big words with her children so theycould learn a better vocabulary. and sharing her love of mystery stories. As a devoted fan of the Detroit Lions, she enjoyed every moment spent cheering for her team, adding a spirited energy to her interests. She also loved "jeopardy" and would get upset whenshe would be called during the show. She knew so many of the answers! She even tried out for "who wants to be a millionaire" with her son but didn't get picked.

Carol had a fondness for British television, which often provided her with joy and entertainment, showcasing her eclectic taste in media. She was surrounded by a loving family, including her daughter, Susan Sapienza, and her son, Don (Tina) Domitrz, and Sandra (Darrel) Hickey, her many grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren, all of whom were graced by her nurturing and loving spirit.

Carol is also survived by her sisters, Kay Carothers and Brenda (Jim) Vincent, who will carry her memory forward in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Domitrz of 36 years, and her family members: her brother Richard Popkey, brothers Bobby and Kenneth Popkey, and her parents, Hazel Delmore-Puttick and Robert Popkey.

A memorial gathering to honor Carol's life will be held at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes on July 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate a life dedicated to love, service, and community. Carol's legacy of kindness and compassion will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
