Loving Wife, Mother, and Yeah Yeah Catherine Elizabeth Scibilia was born on January 12, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan to Bernard and Hilda (Williams) Murray. Her kind and caring personality would shine through during her time as a licensed nurse. She would meet and marry the love of her life, Tony Scibilia on February 14th, 1970. She went to work at Mervyn’s Department Store where she would retire in 2006. Catherine was a dedicated and loving mother to six children; Marc (Tracie) Scibilia, Amy (Brian) Bonnett, Matthew (Joy) Scibilia, Holly (Dave) Zaluski, Steven (Courtne) Scibilia, and Eddie (Michelle) Key. She treasured every moment with her children and especially loved her role as a grandmother to seventeen grandchildren to whom she was called Yeah Yeah; Rachel, Sydnee (Jacob), Aleah (Anthony), Nathan, Abbie, Dominic, Audrey, Abigail, Olivia, Jackson, Hunter, Anthony, Jesse, Kate, Bobby, Christy, and Maddie. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters: Martha Murray, Marie Peters, James (Liz) Murray, William (Mary) Murray, Debbie Murray, and many nieces and nephews. Catherine was an active member in her retirement community’s bingo night, and was the Wii bowling team’s cheerleader. Her other passions included The Wizard of Oz and spending time with her family. She was called somewhere over the rainbow on September 25, 2019 where she was finally reunited with her true love after three years, her mother and father, a younger brother Kevin Murray, and two grandsons, Jason and Matthew. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
