Click on the tribute wall above to view Cecil's video tribute. Cecil Worley, age 91 of Southgate, MI formerly of Marshall, North Carolina passed away April 15, 2021. Born February 21, 1930 to the late Isaac and Ellar Worley. Loving husband of Nina Worley for 71 wonderful years. Cherished dad of Sharon (David) Henry, Beverly (Bill) Smith and Cecilia (Bill) Perkins. Proud grandpa of Matthew (Geneva) Henry, Jonathan Henry, Riley (Katelyn) Perkins, Siera (Tim) Duiser. Jordan (Jessica) Perkins and great-grandpa to 9 great-grandchildren. Beloved brother of Eugene (Mary Jo) Worley, JC (Carolyn) Worley, Harold (Teresa) Worley and preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Cecil was a faithful member of Trenton Missionary Baptist Church for 54 years where he served as a deacon. He retired from Great lakes Steel after 47 years of service in 1997. Cecil proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Cecil may be made to The Gideons International and/or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. To those attending visitation and/or services at the funeral home for a loved one, in keeping with CDC and State of Michigan DHHS guidelines, masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced.
