Christine Diane (Loch) Macy, of Las Vegas, Nevada and formerly of Taylor, Michigan, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loving family on May 15, 2025 at the age of 75. Christine was the beloved wife of John J. Macy, also of Las Vegas, to whom she was married for 53 years, and dear mother of Jeffrey Macy, Kimberley Caldwell, Jaclyn Callahan, and Dr. Cheryl (Brian) Wozniak. She was also the proud grandmother of Chelsea Caldwell, Andrew (Eleni) Caldwell, Matthew Caldwell, Jacob Caldwell, Aiden Callahan, Dylan Wozniak, and Gavin Wozniak. Christine was also the cherished sister of Sandra (Thomas) Shinn as well as Daniel (Pegeen) Loch. Daniel preceded her in death, as did her parents, Louis and Margaret Loch of Detroit, Michigan.
Chris’s most proud accomplishment and greatest source of joy was her family, and she spent her life as a loving wife and mother, Girl Scout leader, and devoted supporter of each of her children’s and grandchildren’s various pursuits. She also enjoyed visiting the casinos during her time in Las Vegas, and enjoyed travel when she was able to do so. Her warm laugh and outgoing, social nature will be remembered by all who spent time with her over the years.
A visitation and gathering in celebration of Chris’s life will take place on Sunday, May 25, at Martenson Funeral Home, 10915 Allen Rd., Allen Park, MI 48101 between the hours of 2:00 pm and 7:00 in the evening. The family invites interested friends and well-wishers to join them for a brief rosary prayer at the conclusion of the viewing on May 25 between 7:00 and 7:30pm, as well. A Catholic funeral mass will follow at St. Alfred Church, 24175 Baske St., Taylor, MI 48180, where she and her husband were previously parishioners for over 25 years before moving to Las Vegas, and where several of her children attended grade school. The service will begin at 11:00am on Monday, May 26, 2025.
Cremation and interment of Christine will be at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a charitable contribution to the Lymphatic Education and Research Network.
