Christopher Edwin Earl

Christopher Edwin Earl, age 66, of Detroit, Michigan, passed away on February 15th, 2026. He was born on January 1st, 1960, in Highland Park, Michigan. Christopher was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Christopher was a proud Journeyman Carpenter, dedicating his career to his craft with skill, discipline, and integrity. He was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in building things that lasted—qualities that reflected the way he lived his life.

Outside of work, Christopher enjoyed NASCAR, golf, and had a deep appreciation for Great Lakes freighters, often finding peace in watching them pass through familiar waters. These interests brought him joy and moments of reflection throughout his life.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Baldwin; daughter-in-law, Elaine Baldwin; and his beloved granddaughters, Elizabeth Baldwin and Jennifer Baldwin, who were a great source of pride and happiness. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah Kapanowski; brother-in-law, Mark Kapanowski; and brother, Richard Earl.

He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Arlene Earl.

Christopher will be laid to rest at Woodmere Cemetery on Friday, February 20th, 2026, at 10:30 am. We invite you to meet us just inside the gates of the cemetery, where the cemetery staff will lead us to the chapel for a short service. The burial will follow.
