Cynthia Dawn Harvey, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and companion, departed this world on December 16, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on August 17, 1964, in Trenton, she was the daughter of Paul and Doris (Schmitt) Laginess. Cynthia's journey through life was marked by her unwavering strength and dedication to her family and career.
Cynthia dedicated many fruitful years to her profession, proudly working in production at both Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation. Her tenacity and passion for her work were evident to all who knew her, and she played an essential role in the lives of those around her.
An alumna of Carlson High School, Cynthia cherished the relationships she built during her formative years. Education and community were important to her, and she carried the spirit of her hometown with her throughout her life. She married J. Michael Harvey on May 20, 2000. Sadly he preceded her in death February 21, 2011.
Outside of work, Cynthia was known for her love of bowling and her adventurous spirit that took her traveling to new destinations. These hobbies brought her immense joy and provided cherished moments with family and friends, who will remember her vibrant laughter and zest for life.
Cynthia was the mother to Michael (Rachel Keller) Harvey, who will carry on her legacy, as well as two step-daughters: Stacie (Christopher) Laginess and Lisa Harvey. As a grandmother, she was blessed with Brittany, Carlson, Sophie, Jack, and Mia, along with seven great-grandchildren, who were the lights of her life. Each moment spent with them was a treasure, filling her heart with love and joy.
Cynthia also had the enduring support of her siblings, Katherine (David) Ptasinski, Gloria Crock, Linda (Dave) Mashke, and Legrand (Dawn) Laginess, who shared in her laughter and sorrow throughout her life. Among her closest companions was Charles Morgan, who remained by her side as a long-time partner.
