David Leslie Zenz, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 75. Born April 5, 1950, in Monroe, he was the son of Leslie and Donna (Duvall) Zenz. David's journey through life began in the very town that would always hold a special place in his heart. He was a proud graduate of Monroe High School, where he laid the foundations for a life grounded in hard work and strong values.
David made a meaningful impact in his role as a Production Worker, where his dedication and work ethic were evident to all who knew him. He embraced every aspect of his work with the same passion with which he approached life—committed and full of energy.
Beyond his professional life, David found immense joy in his pastimes. He was an avid fisherman, spending many cherished hours by the water, reveling in the tranquility and beauty of nature. Whether casting his line or cheering for his favorite sports teams, he found delight in the simple pleasures of life. A fan of football, baseball, NASCAR, and the hilarious escapades of The Big Bang Theory, David had a love for entertainment that brought laughter and camaraderie into his home.
David's greatest pride came from his family. He is survived by his children, Christine Farmer and Jonathan Zenz, who remember him not just as a father but as a steadfast supporter and a guiding light. His grandchildren, Thomas Farmer, Nicole Farmer, Isaiah Zenz, and Jonathan Zenz, adored their grandpa who had an endless well of stories to share and an unyielding love that enveloped them all. The newest generation, his great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Farmer, lit up his eyes with joy and filled his heart with a legacy that would continue to thrive.
David's bond with his siblings was deep and irreplaceable. He leaves behind Janis Stoner, Cheryl (Andy) Baumstark, Bryon Grodi, and Brad Grodi, who will carry both the memories of their shared childhood and the strength of their brother’s unwavering love with them always.
David was preceded in death by his parents and his dear companion, Aleta Collins, whose absence left a profound impact on his life. Their connection was a testament to true companionship, full of warmth and understanding.
As we remember David Leslie Zenz, we find comfort in knowing that he lived a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring connections. His spirit will continue to shine brightly through the lives he touched, and his legacy will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
