Dawn Lauzon, born Dawn Balsdon, passed away on Monday, April 6th, 2026, in Trenton, MI. She leaves behind many loved ones and lives she has touched over the years.
A beloved RN, then CNA Teacher, she had found her calling in helping people. Her intelligence was unmatched, but her love, kindness, compassion, humor, and honesty went well above past the stars. She has helped so many people in her short time on earth. She was always open to listening, no matter how minor it was, and had a way of making you feel heard and validated. She always knew when to give the perfect "motherly" advice or when to just be a shoulder to lean on and open ear. Her heart was so big, many people referred to her as an Angel on Earth, and that couldn't have been more true. She truly was the light, laughter, and love when you needed it most.
She leaves behind many many family, friends, and people she's "adopted" in her lifetime. But her memory is lived on through the love and kindness we spread every day.
Some of her proudest moments are sharing her life with the people closest to her including her loving husband Edward (Ted) Lauzon, daughters Angelina (Brad) Mason, Crystal Wolte, stepson Shane Lauzon, stepdaughter Chelsea Collingwood, past stepdaughters Brooke and Britt, Grandsons Constantine and Grayson, and granddaughter Amelia.
She is survived by her favorite Brother, Scott (Renee Scamp) Balsdon, sharing memories and childhood shenanigans. Teaching many life lessons as they come. Along with many family in GA and Canada. There was not a thing she wouldn't do for her family. She was always there to the best of her ability. She truly loved "her people" with a fire so bright and fierce, it matched the sun. She lives on through them.
She is met at the gate by her parents, Carolyn and McDonald, sister-in-law, aunts and uncles, cousins, childhood friends, and beloved cats she's lost over the years.
We remember Dawn today for the very light and love that she was. The picture of kindness and patience. May we always remember the laughs and warm smiles she provided. And just know, she is at peace and smiling down on all of us, today and every day. May you feel her warmth and see her light when you need it most.
Memorial contributions to honor Dawn's life may be made to the American Red Cross
