Debra Birmingham

Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer around 20 years ago and was pronounced cancer free after a mastectomy, several rounds of chemo, and radiation therapy. About 3 years ago it came back and metastasized throughout her skeletal system as stage 4 cancer. Debbie fought hard and after 3 years of numerous rounds of different medications, Debbie fought finally succumbed to cancer. She was the best mom to her two children and stepson. She was a strong woman, a loving caring woman. She was amazing person, fair, supportive, inclusive, generous, hard working. She was a leader. She did whatever it took to provide success for those around her. She could be tough though, often saying “Can’t means won’t”. Anyone who heard this carried it with them, carried it as love and support, as determination and the ability to overcome obstacles. She allowed all those around her to shine. She liberated us from our fears, our doubts, our negativity and our refusal. She was smart, always knew the answer or would be sure to you find it. She was pure of heart and mind. Our family was truly blessed and will be forever grateful to have had Debbie in our lives.

Debbie is survived by her husband Roy, daughter Alivia, son James, and granddaughter Emberlyn. Also, survived by her sister Sharon (husband Jack), and brother Mike (wife Peggy). Previously deceased were her sister Sandy and stepson Ryan.
