Dennis Raymond Slusarz, Jr.

Dennis Raymond Slusarz Jr., age 48, passed away on August 3rd, 2026, at his home.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Dennis Raymond Slusarz Sr. and Catherine Ann Slusarz. He attended some college at Henry Ford in Dearborn before eventually pursuing his passion for music. While his work history was varied, it always came back to music.

Dennis enjoyed many hobbies, including video and arcade games, visiting the gun range, cooking, and playing various musical instruments. Primarily, though, spending time with friends and family always brought the biggest smile to his face, and it was a smile that may never be forgotten.

He will be remembered for his vibrant and unique personality. Unafraid to share his thoughts yet equally unafraid to show his love. Dennis had a rare gift of making others feel heard. He listened with genuine interest and remembered even the smallest details of each conversation. The people surrounding him always left feeling valued, which is a quality that is hard to come by. His humor, selflessness, and countless quirks will make him truly unforgettable. The hole he leaves behind will never be filled, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Kaitlin Slusarz; his sister, Jeanette (Mike) Iacovacci; and his father, Dennis Slusarz Sr. as well as his nephew Austin Iacovacci. He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Slusarz.

There will be a celebration of Dennis’ life held at a later date. Additional details will be shared with family and friends when they become available.
