Derek J. Slominski

Born in Detroit, Derek was the son of Stephen and Mary Ann (Goodnough) Slominski. He worked as the Welder/Fabricator until taking a medical retirement. Derek was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Monroe. Derek is survived by his children: Dana (Bob) Reaser of Leesburg, Florida, Autumn Slominski of Whitmore Lake and Derek Slominski of Whitmore Lake; his mother Mary Ann Hall of Newport; grandchildren: Becka Heitfield and David Heitfield as well as a sister Jacqueline (Steve) Trupiano of Tecumseh. Sadly he was preceded in death by his father; a daughter Cecily Stebbins; brother Steven Slominski and a grandchild Jessey Lewis. In accordance with Derek's wishes, cremation arrangements are being handled under the care of the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. Memorial contributions in honor of Derek may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
