Dolores “Dee” Blaszkiewicz was born March 18, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to Clara and Willie Montgomery. After graduating from Chadsey High School, she married Rev. Charles Caldwell, to that union, 4 children were born: Andrea R. Pruitt (Aubrey Sr.), Catherina Alomari (Ahmed), Charles Caldwell, Jr. and Kevin Caldwell (preceded Dee in death).
Dee began working in a jewelry store and then moved into the clerical field working as a secretary. After several years, Dee decided she wanted to pursue an education in respiratory therapy. After she received her certificate, she provided patient care at Grace Hospital and Veteran’s Hospital, until she retired.
While working at Grace Hospital, Dee met Marvin Blaszkiewicz in the respiratory department, and fell in love and married. To that union, she gained the love of Marv’s son, David Blaszkiewicz.
Throughout Dee’s life she enjoyed traveling, RV camping, dancing, attending yard sales, keeping current on the latest technology, and spending time with her family.
Dee passed away surrounded by her family in Corewell Hospital-Dearborn, Michigan on August 21, 2025. In addition to her children, Dee is survived by her husband Marvin Blaszkiewicz, sister Frances Poliuto (Richard), and her grandchildren: Aubrey Pruitt, Jr. (Andrea M.), Tawny Pearson (Brandon), Jennifer Snider (Scott), Ahmed Alomari (Nancy), Rashard Alomari (Angela), Halla Fournier (Ryan), Kayla Signoretti, and a host of family and friends.
Dee’s surviving great-grandchildren are Cameron Pruitt, Maya Pearson, Gabriel Alomari, Sofia Alomari, Isabella Alomari, Valentina Alomari, Lola Alomari, Ahmed Alomari, Amani Alomari, Amina Alomari, Ayah Alomari, Layla Fournier, Briana Snider, Ethan Snider, and Ivy Snider.
