Dolores Kubisiak

Mary Dolores Kubisiak (Badaczewska), 95, of Newport, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025. Preceded in death by her loving husband Henry “Harry,” and her parents Frank Brady and Sophia Badaczewska. Beloved mother of Glenn (Marsha), Linda (Scott) Stone, Karen (Doug) Romanski, Donna (Paul) Armstrong, and Wendy (Ken) Gustafson; grandmother of Lesley (Ken), Brad (Jessica), Katie (Patrick), Eric (Lauren), Doug (Connie), Joseph (Erin), Abby (Mike), Melissa, Paul (Ashley), Brett (Audrey), and Carly (Ian); great-grandmother of Henry, Scarlett, Agatha, Lenora, Jeanie, Dottie, Clara, June, Sophia, Isabel, Ruby, Ivy, Lucy, Hattie, James, Harris, Josie, Emmett, Lukas and Vivian. Dolores was born in Detroit in 1929. On Saturday, August 27, 1949, she married the love of her life, Harry. After 10 years of marriage, they moved to Newport. Over her 95 years, Dolores remained the life of the party. Rooted in her deep faith and love for her family, she enjoyed reading a good book, celebrating the holidays, cooking family meals, and the little things in life--a smiley face was her signature mark. You could often find her playing bingo, bowling, shopping for the next big celebration, and traveling--a family trip to Hawaii and the Alaskan cruise were at the top of her list. She became a mother to the first of five children in 1950; and she first became a grandmother in 1983.
