Donald Faulhaber, 84, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025. Donald was born on May 19th, 1941, and grew up in Monroe Michigan. He was the son of Harold and Jeanette (Scheele) Faulhaber, graduating from Monroe High School in 1959. He built his family home on land adjacent to his parents and spent many happy years there. He moved to Wyandotte Michigan in 1989, eventually relocating back to the Monroe area, where he enjoyed his remaining years with close friends and family by his side.
On October 26, 1963, Donald married Geraldine (Monday) Faulhaber Schwartz. He built a family with Geraldine along with a successful career as an accountant with General Motors and Delphi. He retired in 1996 after decades of dedicated service. Donald later married Glenda Faye (Franey) Faulhaber on June 10, 1989. Sadly, she preceded him in death on May 31, 2022.
While Donald took pride in his professional accomplishments, his greatest joy came from spending time with the people he loved. He cherished family and the many friendships he nurtured over the years. Deeply connected to his community, he was an active member of the Monroe Senior Citizens. He especially enjoyed playing euchre, a pastime that brought him together with friends and family around the table. An avid outdoorsman, Donald found peace taking walks in the woods behind his house in Monroe, in his gardens, and on annual deer hunting trips shared with those closest to him.
Donald was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Lisa (Ernie) Sellers and Amy (Phil) Conners. He supported his family unconditionally, and took immense pride in each of them, and the lives they built. His heart belonged just as deeply to his grandchildren—Patrick, Sean, Erin, Halley, Jackson, Melia, Evan, and Jonah—who brought him endless joy. He delighted in watching them grow, celebrating their milestones, and simply being present. To them, he was not just Grandpa, but a steady source of love, guidance, warmth, and gentle humor.
Donald is also survived by his beloved sister, Aileen Pyle, and many extended family members and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who know him.
As we honor his life, we remember a man who lived with kindness, humility, and a quiet strength that touched everyone around him. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
