Donna L. Seither

Donna L. Seither, age 87 of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in her home surrounded by family. Born September 5, 1928 in Jamestown, New York, Donna was the daughter of Seibert and Esther (Carleson) Swanson. She married Richard Freiheit on June 23, 1947. She then was married to Donald Seither April 27, 1996. Sadly he preceded her in death December 23, 2013. Donna worked as a shipping clerk for Dana Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, hosting parties and going to the theatre, but Donna's most favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She also was a member of the Toledo Highlanders Lady Shriners. Donna leaves to cherish her memory her son Daniel (Tonya) Freiheit of Toledo; five grandchildren: Jeffrey Freiheit, Teresa Marut, David (Michelle) Freiheit, Jr., Rodney (Anne) Manning and Jerry (Angel) Seither; ten great grandchildren: Lee, Nichole, Devon, Terry, Mia, Tabitha, Richie, Hayden, Aiden and Avery as well as a sister-in-law Betty Swanson. In addition to her two husbands, Donna was preceded in death by two sons: David Freiheit, Jeffrey Freiheit and a brother Elwood Swanson. In accordance with Donna's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. A Memorial Service and Inurnment of her ashes will take place 11am Saturday, September 19th at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery in Sylvania, with Rev. Greg Bolchuck officiating.
