Donna Lou Roberts

Donna Lou Roberts, age 81, passed away on June 21, 2025.

Born on April 18, 1944, in Monroe, Michigan, Donna was the beloved daughter of Alton and Lucille (Vayer) Shippee. She was formerly married to James “Tiger” Roberts and was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and wife.

A dedicated mother, Donna was employed over the years by Jones Transfer, Monroe Public Schools Transportation, the Knights of Columbus, Coldwell Banker Haynes Real Estate, Taft Appraisal and the Monroe Evening News. She was a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Donna found joy in life’s simple pleasures—cheering on the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and her grandchildren or sharing laughter with loved ones, and especially cherishing time spent with her family.

She is survived by her loving children: James (Leigh) Roberts, David Roberts, Jeffrey Roberts, and Jennifer (Steve) Bennett; seven grandchildren; Kari (Keith) Haddix, Jimmy (Nichole) Roberts, Bailey Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Reganne Bennett, Brendon Bennett, and Colin Bennett; six great-grandchildren; Keith Haddix IV, Knox Haddix, Aubrey Roberts, Ada Roberts, Harper Jewell, Hudson Jewell and her dear sisters, Delaine Marchese and Darlene (Keith) Wylie.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Deanne Roberts and Denise Shippee.
