Dorothy Ann Tomasik

Dorothy Ann Tomasik, age 83 of Monroe, passed away June 22, 2023.

Born July 29, 1939 in Endicott, New York, Dorothy was the daughter of Rob-ert and Helen (Terrish) Ches. A graduate of McKenzie High School, she mar-ried the love of her life, Lawrence Tomasik, on May 9, 1959. Dorothy was a member of Flat Rock Elks Lodge #1731 as well as the Ash Township Senior Citizens. She enjoyed attending classic car shows with her husband, Larry, and they belonged to the Downriver Wanderers Car Club. However, her most treasured times were those spent with her family and her dog, Abby.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memory, Lawrence, her husband of the past 64 years; a daughter Leanne (Tomasik) Nichols; and four grandchildren: Bradley Nichols, Riley C. Nichols, Tyler (Nicole) Tomasik, and Robert Tomasik, Sadly she was preceded in death by her son Timothy (Heidi) Tomasik; two grand-children: Rochelle Basinger and Brandon Nichols; a sister Delores Yaremchuk; and her parents, Robert and Helen Ches.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Dorothy may be made to her husband Lawrence.
