Dorothy Trela, formerly known as Wojnar, graced this world with her warmth and kindness from October 23, 1936, until her passing on December 12, 2025. She was born in the charming town of Wyandotte, where her love for family and celebration first blossomed.

Dorothy was not just a mother and grandmother; she was a devoted friend and the heart of her family. A collector of cards, she had an exceptional talent for remembering every special occasion. No birthday or anniversary slipped by unnoticed; her finely curated selection of cards ensured that everyone felt cherished and loved. Each card she sent was a reminder of the love she held for those around her.

A remarkable cook and baker, Dorothy poured her heart into every meal she prepared, crafting dishes that brought her family together in laughter and joy. Her home was a sanctuary of comfort, where heartfelt gatherings often found their center in her warm kitchen. Alongside cooking, Dorothy's enthusiasm for shopping and her adventurous spirit took her to destinations like Texas, Florida, and California, enriching her life with experiences that she cherished deeply.

Dorothy leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. She is survived by her sons, Mark Stephen Trela (Lisa), David John Trela (Jennifer), and Christopher Robert Trela (Lisa), who carry the lessons of love and togetherness she instilled in them. Her grandchildren, Stephanie Rose Trela (Adam Valleau), Nathan Alexander Trela, Lauren Nicole Micallef (Darryl), Nicholas Adam Trela, Brent Jacob Trela, Paige Elizabeth Trela, and Emily Christine Trela, will hold onto her legacy of generosity and joy. In her great-grandchildren, Bentley David Louis Micallef, Colton Jones Micallef, Evelyn Mae Micallef and Maxwell Alexander Valleau.

Dorothy's brother, Raymond Wojnar, will also remember her fondly, as will her partner, Earl Boling, with whom she shared 28 wonderful years filled with laughter and companionship. Also, dear to Dorothy are Earl’s children, Katherine Ann Moldovan and Earl John Boling, and Katherines’ daughter Isabel Grace, held a special place in Dorothy’s heart.

Though Dorothy is preceded in death by her sister, Clarice, her impact on her family and friends will be felt for generations to come. Dorothy Trela leaves behind a legacy rich in love, laughter, and unforgettable moments that will resonate through the lives she touched. Her spirit will be remembered, and her love will echo in the cherished memories of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
