Dwight David Wilkins

Dwight David Wilkins, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at his home in Carleton, Michigan. He was born on September 26, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan.

Dwight was a proud graduate of John Kennedy High School in Taylor, where he laid the foundation for a career that would span decades within General Motors.

Dwight is survived by his daughter, Andrea Sheppard, and her husband Brian, as well as granddaughters Emma and Allison Sheppard. He also leaves behind his siblings Angela Hawthorne, Billie Stanley, Kay Burgess, Deborah (Wayne) Woodard, and Dan Wilkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Madge Wilkins, and by his brother and sister, Jim Wilkins and Dianne Walker.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 10915 Allen Road.
