Earl "Rudy" Fountain

Born in Detroit, Earl was the son of Albert & Flora (Ross) Fountain. A veteran of the United States Army, he worked for Jones Transfer for more than 28 years, retiring in 1991. He married the love of his life, Mary E. Berry, on August 27, 1960 at Grace Lutheran Church. Earl was a member of the VFW Post 4230 Rock of Gibraltar, American Legion, the American Legion Matt Urban Post 40 and the Woodhaven Moose. At one time Earl also enjoyed golfing. Earl leaves to cherish his memory, Mary, his wife of the past 53 years; a son Robert Fountain of Southgate; brother Robert Fountain of Callaway, Florida as well as two sisters: Anne Thorn of Newport and Blanche Fountain of Newport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Joseph Fountain; three brothers: Gene Fountain, Albert Fountain, Stewart Fountain and a sister Alice "Tootie" Couchlin.
