A video tribute will be posted; please check back.

Edward G Bollman, 90, of Allen Park, MI, passed away on June 6, 2026. The chirp of the cricket has been stilled.

Eddie took great joy in his family; nothing made him happier than when the entire family, or some large fraction of it, was gathered together: “Great to have you all here tonight.” He was married for over 60 years to Linda A. Bollman, who preceded him in death in July 2023. Eddie is survived by his children Mark (Laura), Daniel (Anne), Eric (Monica), Laura (John) Brennan, Jennifer (David) Mazurek, and Steven (Robyn); and 9 grandchildren: Haley, Patrick, Kate, Emily, Sarah, Mathew, Megan, Natalie, & Henry. He also leaves behind relatives at greater remove and many—many—good friends.

Eddie retired from Ford Motor Company in 1996 after 42 years of service, starting as a draftsman and working his way up to supervisor in the light trucks division. He was a long-time Scout leader, serving for several years as Cubmaster and Webelos den leader of Pack 1053 and Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 1058 in Allen Park. He also served St. Cyril of Jerusalem and Our Lady of the Angels churches as an usher and the best brass-polisher in the Archdiocese. This is no euphemism: for many years, he kept the church’s brass fixtures at a mirror-bright shine. In retirement, his ambitious travel with Linda was an inspiration to many, and included regular ocean voyages and trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. An avid golfer, he set out to play every public course in Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, and his massive collection of souvenir golf balls tracked that quest for years.

In addition to Linda, Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sarah “Nellie” Bollman, and sister Peggy DeLuca.
