Remembering Erin Elizabeth Radler: A Life of Courage and Love
Erin Elizabeth Radler of Riverview, Michigan, passed away on April 18, 2026, at the age of 43. Born on May 5, 1982, to Sandy Shepler and David Brockmiller, Erin was known far and wide by her affectionate nickname, Airbear. Her life was marked by an extraordinary spirit of resilience and an unwavering smile that brightened the days of everyone around her.
From the very beginning, Erin faced profound challenges due to complications at birth. These early battles set the tone for a life defined by determination and strength. For nearly 44 years, she fought tirelessly, transforming her struggle into a powerful testament of courage and joy. Whether in hospital rooms or at home, enduring long days and nights of recovery, Erin’s infectious smile and radiant soul never faltered. She embraced life fully, cherishing moments spent with her beloved dog Max, her loyal Boy who remained faithfully by her side.
Erin’s passions were simple yet profound. She delighted in puzzles and card games, often seen relaxing with a Coke in hand while waiting for her husband, John, to come home. Central to her heart was her deep bond with her Grandma Linart, a relationship so close it was said they were like twins. Their love was a beacon of comfort and companionship throughout Erin’s life.
Erin’s family was extensive and loving. She is survived by her mother Sandy and stepfather Ed, her father David and his partner Terri, and the memory of her late stepmother Amy. She was fortunate to have six sisters—Stefanie, Jordyn, Kasidy, Erica, Juliet, and Lauren—and two brothers, Eddie and Alex. Her extended family, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all hold her dearly in their hearts.
Erin’s legacy is one of unwavering love, perseverance, and joy. She leaves behind her husband John, his mother Betty, his grandfather, and, of course, Max, her faithful companion. Erin’s life reminds us of the profound impact one person’s spirit can have, touching countless lives through kindness, courage, and an enduring smile.
