Ernest V. Dodsworth

Ernest V. Dodsworth, age 98, of Monroe formerly of Dearborn, passed away peacefully June 14, 2018 at Plymouth Inn Assisted Living in Plymouth. He was born July 19, 1919 in England to Ernest and Ethel (Westcott) Dodsworth. Ernest worked as a tool machinist for Aerosmith Tool and Dye. He enjoyed photography, golfing, traveling and dancing. Ernest is survived by his daughter Pamela (Mike Wasson) Dodsworth of Pennsylvania; daughter-in-law Phyllis Dodsworth of Canton, MI; granddaughter Julie (Daniel) Churchvara of Canton, MI; 2 great granddaughters Savannah and Emma and a sister Joan Chaplin of England. Ernest is preceded in death by his wife Elsie Dodsworth, sons Derek and Barry Dodsworth, grandson Eric Dodsworth, 2 brothers Frederick and George and 2 sisters Edith and Ethel. Friends may gather Sunday from 3-8pm at The Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave. Funeral service will take place Monday 12 noon at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
