Evelyn Irene Cook

Born in Yakima, Washington, Evelyn was the daughter of Robert and Evelyn (Smith) Herkimer. A graduate of Airport High School, she married the love of her life, Joseph Cook on August 31. 1967. A dedicated homemaker, Evelyn was an avid Quilter and was a member of the Monroe Quilt Guild. She was also a member of Dundee Sportsman Club and the Monroe 500 Club. Evelyn enjoyed playing Horseshoes, hunting, fishing, camping and baking, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family. Evelyn leaves to cherish her children: Dena Cook, Michael (Rebecca) Cook, Carrie Cook and Tony Cook; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 5 siblings: Virginia “Ginny” Olinek, James “Jim” Herkimer, Bernice Murphy, Richard “Rick” (Patricia) Herkimer and Troya Caincross. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents and 2 siblings: Charlotte Bidleman and Joyce Conrad.
