Floyd Willie Miller Jr., of Dearborn Heights, was born in Slayden, Tennessee on March 19, 1934. He went home to be with The Lord on May 17, 2026.
He was a devoted husband to Mildred Kay Miller who preceded him in death. They were married 59 years.
Loving father to Marlene (David) Woodard, Darlene (Wayne) Ramey, Melinda (Brian) Rakes.
He was a proud Grandpa to Randall, Sarah, Jason, Michael, Amanda, Matthew, Andrew, Brian, Rachel, Joshua & Chelsea.
He was also a proud Great Grandpa of 20. Anyone who knew Floyd knew how much he loved his yorkies Bo & Benny.
Floyd is preceded in death by his father, mother & brother.
Floyd served his country for 32 years, 6 months, and 12 days. He served in the Marines, Air Force and Army. It’s there that he found his love of vintage military aircraft. He has traveled on all but one vintage plane.
He loved to travel and recently returned from Hawaii with his daughters.
Floyd worked for N & S Railroad as a Railroad engineer for over 30 years.
