Frances Anne Lindsay, a loving wife, mother, friend, and devoted soul, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, in Brownstown, Michigan. Born on September 1, 1927, in Detroit, Michigan, Frances lived a rich and fulfilling life marked by her unwavering dedication to family, love for her hobbies, and commitment to her faith.
A woman of many talents, Frances found joy and solace in her various pursuits. Whether it was crocheting afghans, diving into crossword puzzles, or immersing herself in the pages of a well-loved book, her spirit radiated warmth and creativity. She delighted in the art of sewing, often crafting pieces that would become cherished gifts for loved ones. A great cook, Frances brought her family together around the dinner table, creating lasting memories over shared meals and laughter.
Frances's passion for movies reflected her curious mind and appreciation for storytelling. She loved watching a captivating film and discussing it later. She was proud of her Irish and French heritage. She had a deep love for her family, and prayed for each and every one of them, embodying a deep-rooted strength that combined her faith and love. A proud mother to her four children, Robert (Janice) Lindsay, Elizabeth (Dave) Dinger, Thaddeus (Andrea) Lindsay, and Mary (Joseph) Cabadas, Frances mentored and supported her family, instilling in them the values of education and kindness. Her legacy flourished through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched deeply and whose dreams she encouraged.
Frances held dear her half-siblings, Celeste Wright and Pat Daniels, and cherished her numerous nieces and nephews, who remember her as a pillar of love and guidance. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Emmett Lindsay, and her siblings Margaret Smith, Mona Stitman, Theresa Spencer, Florence Ward, and Charles Sisenstein, each leaving an indelible mark on her heart.As we reflect upon the life of Frances Anne Lindsay, we celebrate the immeasurable love she shared and the countless lives she touched. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and above all, an abiding love for her family that will resonate through generations to come.
Visitation will be held at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes on July 27, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a Rosary at 5:00 PM. A final visitation will take place at St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Riverview on July 28, 2025, starting at 9:30 AM, leading into a Mass at 10:00 AM. Frances will then be laid to rest at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery at 11:30 AM, amidst the comfort of nature that she so adored.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Frances to EWTN Global Catholic Network or Solanus Medical Missions.
