Frank Bennett

Frank Bennett, 71 years old, of Taylor, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, August 1st in Dearborn, surrounded by family.

Frank was born in Detroit, Michigan, on “a cold day,” December 6, 1954, to parents Jimmie and Bonnie Bennett, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his brothers, Kalen (Linda), Daryl (Linda); his sis, Julie Bowerman; his niece, Jessica (Nick) LaChappelle; his nephews, Dustin and Travis Bennett; his great-niece, Payton Zajack; his great-nephew, Cedar LaChappelle; and countless cousins.

Frank had a love of country music, especially “The Hag”. He loved the history of the American auto industry, GM, Ford, and Chrysler, with a special love for Fleetwood Fisher Body, where his dad worked. He worked in the summer washing and vacuuming cars for friends and family. He was always on his computer, finding automotive information, watching country music videos, finding Bennetts and keeping track of JC Penny Stores.

Visitation will take place at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a funeral service Friday, August 7, 2026 starting at 11:00 am. Followed by a procession to Michigan Memorial Park where entombment will take place.
